Canadian government provided $400 million to combat the Mountain Pine Beetle (MPB) infestation. This founding creates real opportunities for communities and businesses in affected areas to control the spread of infestation, recover economic and protect forest resources.
Woodlandia is very interested in partnering with a communities or the government, on a pilot program or large scale project to deliver, setup and design a production system to process the MPB infected trees into a usable products and provide needed jobs in the logging industry.
Woodlandia products, log lathe LL-41 and log molders can turn the infected trees into cylindrical logs to be used for many purposes. By removing the outer bark and top infected layers, trees that would be needed to be discarded can become a resource for many people and well contribute employment in the logging, processing and utilizing the final product.
Log lathes are currently being used in USA to process dead pine trees.
